How does TRIAD work?
TRIAD uses a S.A.L.T (Seniors And Law enforcement Together) team approach. The S.A.L.T. Council is the advisory group which carries out TRIAD activities.
Members can include:
- Police chief(s) or designated officer(s)
- Sheriff or designee
- RSVP
- AARP (mature/retired leaders)
- Agency on Aging
- Home extension service
- Emergency response / medical representatives
- Other agencies or individuals interested in the welfare of seniors
IF YOU ARE 50 YEARS OR OLDER AND/OR DISABLED AND LIVING IN FORREST COUNTY YOU CAN QUALIFY FOR A FREE SAFETY KIT.
The FREE SAFETY KIT includes: smoke detectors, a carbon monoxide detector (for gas appliances), a reflective house sign, a safety light stick, a night light, a flashlight with batteries and The FILE OF LIFE to keep track of your medications. One copy of the FILE OF LIFE is posted on your refrigerator, the other smaller version is to be kept with you.
